When things go good or bad, some effects can appear in the city.

  • Anarchy - when you change civics or magic doctrines;
  • Healthy City - when health is above 10;
  • Epidemy - when health is very low;
  • Ecstatic - when people are very happy (happiness above 10) and when a city's Quality of Life goes up one level;
  • French Strike - when happiness is below 0;
  • Unhappiness - when happiness is very low;
  • Local Warming - when pollution is greater than 0, there's a chance every round to trigger the Local Warming effect.
  • Peculation - when people's Quality of Life is stagnating.

They all have limited duration.
